From how many weeks can you have a pregnancy massage?
NUR Therapy offers pregnancy massage from 16 weeks onwards, in a supported side-lying position, subject to a short consultation for suitability.
How long after birth can you have a postnatal massage?
After an uncomplicated vaginal birth there is no waiting period. After a caesarean birth, postnatal massage is only suitable from 8 weeks postpartum.
Is pregnancy massage safe?
For most healthy pregnancies from 16 weeks it is widely considered safe when delivered by a trained therapist. Because every pregnancy differs, a consultation form is completed first and your GP or midwife should be consulted for any medical concern.
Can I bring my baby to a postnatal massage?
No. Appointments are one-to-one and children cannot be brought to the clinic, so please arrange care for your baby beforehand.
